Maintenance, done properly

It’s usually something small that gets you calling: a power point that’s stopped working, a breaker that won’t stay reset, lights that flicker for no obvious reason. That behind-the-walls work, repairs, switchboards, mains and rewiring, is what keeps a property safe, and we look after it across south-east Melbourne, including after-hours call-outs when something can’t wait until morning.

About electrical maintenance and repairs work in Frankston and the south-east

Electrical problems are not always obvious until something stops working, keeps tripping or starts behaving strangely. We handle the repairs, rewiring, switchboards, mains work and safety checks that keep homes running properly, including after-hours call-outs when something can’t wait until morning.

Everyday repairs

A power point that’s stopped working, a circuit that keeps tripping, lights that flicker for no reason. We find the actual cause and fix it properly, rather than patching over the symptom and leaving you to call again in six months.

Older homes: wiring, mains and boards

A decades-old home often has decades-old wiring to match. The wiring, the mains or the switchboard can all be past their best, and it’s not always obvious which one is causing the trouble until we’ve had a proper look.

After-hours call-outs and certificates

We’re an after-hours service, not a 24/7 one, and we’d rather tell you that upfront than promise something we can’t deliver at 3am. We also carry out safety inspections and issue certificates for owners, landlords and property sales.

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer emergency call-outs?
Yes, we offer after-hours call-outs for urgent faults. We’ll be upfront with you though, we’re an after-hours service, not a 24/7 one.
Why does my power keep tripping?
Usually it’s a faulty appliance, an overloaded circuit, or water getting somewhere it shouldn’t. We test properly to find the actual cause, rather than just resetting it and hoping it doesn’t happen again.
How do I know if I need a switchboard upgrade?
A few signs to watch for: breakers that keep tripping, old ceramic fuses still in there, no safety switches, lights that dim when a big appliance kicks in, or a board that’s simply out of room.
Do landlords need an electrical safety check in Victoria?
Yes. Every two years by a licensed electrician, plus smoke alarm testing every year on top of that.
How disruptive is a rewire?
A lot less than most people expect. We stage the work where we can, so you’re not sitting without power for days on end.
How long does a rewire take?
It depends on the size of the home and whether it’s a partial or full rewire. We’ll give you a realistic timeframe with the quote, not an optimistic one.
What are consumer mains and when do they need upgrading?
They’re the cables that bring power from the street to your switchboard. If you’re adding a lot of extra load to the house, they can end up being the bottleneck.
Can you provide an electrical safety certificate?
Yes, for homeowners, landlords and property sales, whatever you need it for.
